This DHC-2 Beaver on floats was created from reference photos taken by me during my time as a pilot for Air Tindi, NWT in Yellowknife.  This was where I started selling my work as a new artist and pilot. I did a number of large pen and ink drawings of the Tindi aircraft fleet and sold them to the owners of the company for their lobby and office spaces, as well as to the pilots that flew them. The Beaver is most known for its iconic water capabilities, but what is most impressive is its ability to take almost any load in and out of remotes arctic lakes. We strapped 2x4 lumber, ladders, canoes, and anything else that could fit to its struts. Not a fast plane but a powerful.
